Pool partiesare awesome and cool for any season of the year depending on the climate in your town. Depending on whether you are throwing your pool theme party inside or out, you can modify the following tips accordingly.

Pool Party Invitations
Remember to make a big deal out of your invitations, by sending them out on something pool related everyone will know you’re serious about throwing a pool theme party! Pick one of the following and print out pictures of them from the internet, writing your invites on them:
1. Goggles
2. Star Fish
3. Sea Shell
4. Dingy
5. Fish
Or take an empty bottle of water, take the label off, fill with sand and place your invitation in the bottle. This will create a message in a bottle effect!
State on your invitations that bathing suits and swimming trunks are mandatory!
In addition you should also create a Facebook pool party group in order to invite your guests. You’ll be able to hype up your party as it approaches and keep everybody informed as to any changes! You’ll also have a higher attendance if you create a Facebook group as everybody will be able to see all who’s invited. If they have many friends who’re coming then they’re more likely to attend themselves. One final reason for creating a Facebook group for your party is that you’ll be able to upload all the pictures and video from the party to the group. You can then “tag” everybody in the photos and this way you’ll all have lasting memories of the party.
Pool Party Supplies And Games
It’s your decorations that will make the big difference for your party, the more stuff you get the better it’ll be! Take a look from the following and pick and choose according to your budget. You can get most of these Pool Party Supplies for cheap on Amazon!
1. Use fish netting to put over the table cloths, which should be blue.
2. Scatter sea shells and star fish around your venue.
3. Get some sand for the pool side and a bucket and spade for the kids.
4. Get plenty of beach balls. Set up a Volleyball net and a Basketball hoop.
5. Get yourself an Inflatable Palm Tree or two for effect.
6. Set up some large sun umbrellas and sun loungers around the outside of the pool.
7. Get an army of Rubber Ducks and have a war!
8. Consider a rubber dingy or water raft, depending on the size of your pool.
9. Alternatively how about some Giant Inflatable Whales?
10. Water bombs!
11. Have water wings and floats for the kids.
12. If your pool party is outside, make sure you have plenty of sunscreen on standby. People always forget to bring their own!
13. Water guns, water guns…WATER GUNS!!!

Pool Party Food And Drink
If your pool party is outside you could have a BBQ serving the usuals.
For sandwiches you could cut the bread using a fish shaped cookie cutter.
Swordfish and Salmon will be popular.
Hire a professional bartender for the drinks, though drink responsibly.
Other Pool Party Ideas
Have an alternative plan just in case the weather is bad.
Remember the danger element at a pool party, especially if alcohol is involved. If you want to be safe, you can hire out a life guard from the local leisure centre or swimming pool on a private basis.

@Tamra: Tamra, simply search on goolge images for some pool party related things for your invites and don’t forget to create a Facebook group.
Odera – Do you have any friends that have their own pool? If not then the best thing to do would be to hire out the pool at a sports centre or hotel. You could also go to the beach, there’s nothing stopping you from doing that.
