A James Bond theme party is a particular favourite of mine for the guys! Beware though because a James Bond theme party comes shaken not stirred! The women will be thankful for the opportunity to dress up as a glamorous Bond girl! A James Bond theme party can be sub-divided into smaller themes if you wish. You can choose a particular Bond film or host your party in a casino.

1. Costumes – This is really easy for the ladies. It’s just a chance for them to dress up as glamorous as possible. They can of course opt for a favourite Bond girl such as Miss Goodnight or Halle Berry as Jinx. The guys can get really inventive. Expect to find many Sean Connery lookalikes as in the picture to the left. But i suggest they go for a Bond baddie such as Jaws, Blotheld or (if you have any short Asian friends) the evil Oddjob!

2. Props – Consider hiring a security guard complete with Russian accent for the door, where he checks for concealed weapons before allowing you through the checkpoint. A red carpet can lead up to the bar where you are offered a Martini…shaken not stirred of course! Consider

You can get movie posters and props with ease (Walther PPK’s for example). Also consider hiring an Austin Martin (budget dependant) to park in the drive.

3. Music – For me there is only one choice of music for a James Bond theme party. Best Of Bond…James Bond has every James Bond theme track ever and will really make you and your guests feel in the mood. Your guests will be saying “play it again Sam!”

4. Food – Food for your James Bond theme party should ideally consist of impressive finger buffets. James Bond is used to the best after all. But this needn’t cost much. Consider Coq au vin, Oysters Rockefeller and eel sushi appetizers. James Bond has been seen in the movies to be consistently ordering Lamb too. Whatever you go for, think about hiring a waiter.

5. Drink – I don’t need to tell you that James Bond always drinks Martini shaken not stirred. You should also have plenty of Champagne for your guests ideally served by a Waiter.
