Think Eyes Wide Shut!
The Masquerade theme party originated in 15th century Venice amongst the upper classes. A significant anti-Masquerade movement soon followed as it was thought that it encouraged immorality. These days the Masquerade theme party is extremely popular all over the world and is simply an opportunity to dress up in elaborate costumes and hide your identity with the use of a Mask. For the Masquerade party theme to be pulled off with the best effect, your guests need to genuinely hide their true identities from each other. This of course is half of the excitment and you’d be amazed at what you can get away with when nobody knows who you are.
1. Costumes – In fact the more flamboyant your costume the better and it is a necessity in order to receive an invitation that your guests are willing to go to the trouble of either purchasing or making their own costume. You can have an award for the best or most flamboyant costume at your Masquerade theme party and you can also have a public unveiling of masks at midnight in order to see who you’ve been speaking to all night.
